Valentine's Day is easy to let slip by. After the big Holiday months, everyone is ready for quiet and rest, so it makes sense to just ignore this little day for love.
But we wonder if it shouldn't be a bigger deal! A day for love? What is more important than love? We are vowing to do better this year! To take this opportunity to show our loved ones how much we really care.
Love is an action. John 3:18 says, "Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Jesus was our example in all the things he did, especially when he made the ultimate act of love by dying in our place and rising again from that death so that we can be freed from it as well. Oh that we would love with such action!
Because we believe this so strongly, we are going to try and "do" more for our family and friends this year. Of course, that means planning and prepping! So we have started by scouring around for gift ideas to give our kids and spouses, and we decided to share them with you, too!
There are certainly other ways than gifting to show people how you feel about them, and we will be looking at non-gifting options, too. So stay tuned, follow along, and share your thoughts and ideas, too!
