Good Morning!
I read this verse today.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 1 John 4:16b-17
Are we? Am I?
I want to be like Him, love like Him! And, I find myself asking Him to help me be more like Him everyday. He knows I NEED that help! LOL!
Why is our nature so stubborn? What is the chasm between his creation of who we are and what we become as we move through this world? Our lives and choices shape us, yet He will shape us if we let Him.
Today, I will let Him. I have today. I woke up and my mercies are new...as are yours, and I can decide today to be like Him.
Join me. Be like Him today! Be his hands, feet, eyes, ears, and tongue. Yes, tongue. (Whew...that's a hard one!) Let's...
- Give not take
- Love not hate
- Smile not frown
- Help not hurt
- Laugh not Cry
I have asked Him to help me be conscious today, to be aware, and see myself from others' perspectives so I can learn and allow my heart and mind to bend to Him. To remember I AM different because of what He has done for me and in me! I am NOT of this world!
Join me! Let's spread His love and be Him to those who don't know Him at all, or know Him like we do.
